Terms of Service

You must provide accurate information and keep your password safe. Your account is personal to you; please do not share it. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use Healtone, and at least the age of majority in your province or country to make purchases.

When you buy an audiobook on Healtone, you receive a permanent, personal, non-transferable license to listen to it through Healtone, including offline downloads on your devices. "Yours forever" means exactly that: your purchased books remain in your library regardless of whether you hold a Healtone Plus membership. Purchases are for personal listening only; they may not be resold, redistributed, publicly performed, or shared outside your household.

A membership is for one household: the people who live with you at the same address. It is not for sharing with friends, colleagues, or relatives who live elsewhere. Three limits keep it to that, and they are stated before you buy, on the pricing page and again in the welcome email:

Five devices at a time. When a sixth device signs in, whichever device has gone longest without listening is signed out. One household, one country. The membership is tied to the country in which it is first used. Travelling is fine and does not affect access; a person living permanently in another country needs their own membership. If you move, contact us and we will move the membership with you. One login, shared at home. If you signed in with Google or Apple, set a household password on your account page so your family can sign in with your email address and that password.

Where a membership is used outside a single household, we may pause streaming on the devices concerned. Books you have purchased outright are unaffected and remain yours.

Healtone Plus is a monthly subscription (USD 9.99 per month, plus applicable taxes) that lets you stream the entire catalog while your membership is active. Billing is handled by Stripe and renews automatically each month until you cancel. You can cancel anytime through the billing portal in your account; your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for, and no further charges are made. When a membership ends, streaming access ends with it, but every book you purchased remains yours. Plus streaming does not include offline downloads; downloads are a benefit of purchased books.

Every audiobook you buy comes with a 30-day money-back guarantee: if it is not what you expected, ask within 30 days of purchase (the Request a refund link beside the title in your Library, or an email to support@healtone.app) and we check your listening progress ourselves: at 20 percent listened or less, we refund the full price to your original payment method automatically, no questions asked. If you have listened to more than 20 percent, or more than 30 days have passed, we will still gladly exchange it for another audiobook of equal or lesser price from our catalog. If a purchased audiobook is defective or cannot be accessed, we repair it, replace it, or refund it at any time.

Healtone Plus subscription payments are not refunded. You may stop your membership at any time through the billing portal in your account; after you give notice by canceling, no further charges are made, and your streaming access continues until the end of the month you have already paid for, then ends.

Membership renewals are always announced in advance by email: we send a reminder 7 days and again 3 days before every yearly renewal, and 3 days before every monthly renewal, each with a direct link to cancel. If an introductory or coupon price is ending, the reminder states the new amount. Because every renewal is warned about ahead of time, a renewal charge made after these reminders is final and is not refunded. Canceling always stops future charges, and your access continues until the end of the period you have paid for. The same rules apply to All-Access memberships purchased on healtone.app.

Nothing in this policy limits rights you may have under the consumer protection laws of your province or country.

Free classic audiobooks and audio samples are provided for personal enjoyment and evaluation. We may change which titles are offered free at any time; titles already claimed in your library remain yours.

Some titles in our catalog are recordings of public domain works, narrated by volunteers of the LibriVox project. These recordings are in the public domain, and the underlying works can be found freely elsewhere, including at librivox.org. These volunteer recordings vary in audio quality; a small number are imperfect, and we price and present them accordingly.

We believe in being straightforward about this: when you buy one of these titles or stream it with Healtone Plus, you are not paying for the public domain work itself. You are paying for the Healtone experience built around it: a carefully curated and family friendly catalog, original cover artwork, reliable high speed streaming and hosting, a premium listening app with progress sync across your devices, offline downloads on purchased titles, generous free samples, and real human support. If you prefer to seek out the original recordings for free, you are welcome to; if you choose Healtone, that is what your money supports.

Our catalog curation, cover artwork, product descriptions, and the Healtone service itself are the property of A Better You Everyday Publications.

The audiobooks on Healtone are offered for general information, education, and personal enrichment. The views, opinions, methods, and suggestions expressed in any audiobook are those of its author or narrator, not of Healtone or A Better You Everyday Publications. Many of our titles are classic works, and they reflect the knowledge, language, and perspectives of the era in which they were written; treat them as heritage and inspiration, not as current professional guidance.

Nothing on Healtone is medical, psychological, legal, or financial advice, and no audiobook is a substitute for the advice of a qualified professional. Always consult a qualified health professional before making changes to your diet, exercise, herbal or supplement use, or health care, especially if you are pregnant or nursing, taking medication, caring for children, or managing a health condition, and never disregard or delay professional advice because of something you heard in an audiobook. You use the information in our catalog at your own discretion and risk.

Healtone operates a recurring marketing text message program, sent by 9354-4914 Québec inc. You join by submitting your phone number and agreeing to receive messages at healtone.app/sms.

Message frequency is approximately 2 to 4 messages per month and never more than weekly. Message and data rates may apply. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of any purchase.

Reply STOP to any message to unsubscribe. Reply HELP for assistance, or email support@healtone.app. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Please do not attempt to copy, scrape, redistribute, or resell catalog audio, circumvent purchase or subscription checks, interfere with the service, or use Healtone in any unlawful way. We may suspend or close accounts that violate these terms, with a refund of any unused subscription period where the law requires it.

We work hard to keep Healtone available and improving, but we cannot promise uninterrupted service. We may update features, prices for future purchases, and these terms over time; significant changes will be posted with an updated date, and continued use after changes means you accept them. Price changes never affect books you already own.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Healtone is provided as is, and our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights that cannot be limited under the laws of your province or country.

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada, without displacing mandatory consumer protections of the place where you live.
